Our 2-tiered approach to learning Adobe Flash CS4 and Actionscript 3.0 is suitable for:

• Flash beginners with no prior experience
• Flash designers and animators wanting to become more familiar with code
• Flash developers wanting to migrate their AS 2.0 knowledge to AS 3.0.

Flash® CS4 Level 1

Flash IDE (Integrated Development Environment and AS3 Primer).

Covers the Adobe Flash CS4 interface, including features new to CS4 with a comprehensive and thorough introduction to Actionscript 3.0. (detailed course breakdown on request).

Flash® CS4 Level 2

AS3 Object-Oriented Programming including core OOP principles*.

Take your Flash Actionscript 3.0 knowledge to the next level with a more advanced look at best-practice based development including use of Flash's Object-Oriented principles (detailed course breakdown on request).

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

* A comprehensive understanding of the concepts covered in of Flash CS4 Level 1 is required.

 

switchOn(FlashBasics)

switchOn(FlashBasics) covers basic knowledge of Adobe Flash concepts and is aimed at designers and animators wanting to move into Adobe Flash CS4. The course covers new features in Flash CS4 as well as a very broad overview of using basic Actionscript 3.0. The aim of the course is to get attendees up and running with Flash’s powerful animation and interactivity workflows in four 3 hour sessions.
